Poppa Joe King is well known Finnish blues artist that has performed for many years with his live band and many famous guests in many appreciated happenings, concert halls, festivals and clubs, from Globen in Stockholm to Pori Jazz, among hundreds of other places. In 2004, their single King of the Road was taken to many Finnish and US radio playing lists, while it's video circulated for long on MTV Nordic among other television broadcasts. Right now the band is working with their newest album, which is just about to be released internationally.

The band is known for its own, unique sound, a magically warm atmosphere combining traditional roots music with rust and patina of antique machines, old radios and analogic organs, wild performances and original funk-a-delia, progressive rock, Bill Withers, Jimi Hendrix, and so on - all together. Originally the band grew from a wide group of friends performing time to time with an variating assembly, which later settled as an funky trio of talented young musicians.

Today, the Poppa Joe King consists of Joe-Poika Lehtinen (electric guitar, vocals), Kenneth Lagerström (drums), Arttu Silvast (organs, vocals) and Patrick Lemmberg (electric bass).
